Derek Hess is a poster artist out of Cleveland. A portfolio of his work is at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as in the permanent collection at the Louve in Paris (need I say more?). His drawing skills are terrific. Here are a few of his posters.

So, what do you all think about this work so far? Is it interesting? Should I keep posting it from time to time?

Dan,

Best resource for buying is probably eBay. But, as far as just looking, I would say one of two places: http://www.expressobeans.com and http://www.gigposters.com. Gigposters.com is probably the best site online. A lot of artists are members there and post their work. There is a classified section where people sell work, an extensive archive of work sorted by artist, group, etc., as well as a forum.

I checked em' both out, gigposters.com is a really good resource. I found some cool posters by Lars P. Krause, who has done posters for bands like Franz Ferdinand, Queens of the Stone Age, and a local band (from Ottawa) Million Dollar Marxists. I'll post a few of my favorites.

Balzac/The Egyptian Gay Lovers/The Creeks
